For the fourth quarter of last year, TruAdvantage proudly donated to Roya Foundation International Alliance to Assist Children, an organization that holds a special place in our hearts. This nonprofit was founded in memory of Roya Forouzesh, a woman whose passion for humanitarian work continues to inspire us all. Through our donation, we are helping to support the foundation's mission to provide educational and medical assistance to impoverished children around the world.
Honoring the Legacy of Roya Forouzesh
Roya Forouzesh's story is one of unwavering dedication to helping those in need. After a successful career in Silicon Valley, Roya discovered her true calling—humanitarian work. She became deeply committed to improving the lives of children, especially those in need of medical care. Unfortunately, in 2006, Roya was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare cancer that attacks the bone marrow. She passed away in 2008 at the age of 46, but her legacy lives on through the work of the Roya Foundation.
The foundation was established by her sister, Mitra, who promised to continue Roya's mission after witnessing her battle with cancer. Today, the Roya Foundation works to build schools, cancer treatment centers, and hospitals in underserved communities, ensuring that children have access to the basic care and education they desperately need.
